Beverlac
A long term home for your business.
If you are thinking about stepping back, I would like to hear about what you have built.
01 — About
Who I Am
I am Nathan Floor — a South African investor with a particular interest in established businesses whose owners are ready to move on. I am not a fund or a firm. I buy businesses I intend to keep.
02 — Transition
What Happens Next
The question most owners have is not about the price — it is what happens to the business, and the people in it, once they step back. Here is how I think about that.
Day One
Nothing changes. Your team comes in to the same business, the same name, the same work.
First 90 Days
I spend time getting to know the business and the people in it. I try to listen more than I speak.
Year One
You stay as involved as suits you. I support management where I can and resource what needs resourceing. The goal is continuity, not change.
Long-term
The business keeps its name, its people, and its way of doing things. I intend to hold it — not pass it on.
03 — Fit
What I Look For
There is no rigid checklist. But a good fit usually looks something like this.
Profitable
Established businesses with steady earnings, typically R3m to R20m a year.
South African
Based in South Africa. Real-economy businesses in services, light industrial, and healthcare, alongside technology.
Owner Stepping Back
An owner planning a succession — either a clean exit or a longer transition alongside strong management.
